Sean ‘Diddy’ Remembers Ex Kim Porter: ‘I Miss Your Looks Checking on Me’

Kim Porter, Diddy’s ex-girlfriend, died in November 2018.

Sean “Diddy” Combs is still grieving the death of Kim Porter.

The music mogul, 49, shared a sweet photo of Porter, who died in November, on his Instagram story Sunday, implying he was still looking to his former girlfriend for advice.

“I know, I know, GET MY S— TOGETHER! Message received. I miss your looks checking me,” Combs wrote over a selfie of Porter, adding a red heart and crying laughing emoji.

Porter died at her home in Toluca Lake, California on Nov. 15, 2018, at age 47 of lobar pneumonia after suffering flu-like symptoms for days.

The pair dated on-and-off for many years before their split in 2007, and shared son Christian, 21, and twins D’Lila Star and Jessie James, 12. Combs – who also has son Justin, 25, and daughter Chance, 12 – raised Porter’s son Quincy, 27, whom she shared from a previous relationship.

In the wake of Porter’s death, Combs has publicly mourned her absence and in early March, revealed that he regretted never marrying her.

He shared an old photo of himself cuddling with Porter on the couch to Instagram with the caption, “SMH,” which means “shaking my head,” and a broken heart emoji.

“When she was alive you didn’t wanna marry her,” one commenter wrote, leading Combs to reply: “I know. Played myself smh,” in a screenshot captured by The Shade Room.

Combs also used Instagram to break his silence three days after Porter’s death, sharing an emotional set of messages that said he felt as though he’d been trapped in a “nightmare.”

“I don’t know what I’m going to do without you baby. I miss you so much. Today I’m going to pay tribute to you, I’m going to try and find the words to explain our unexplainable relationship,” he wrote. “We were more than best friends, we were more than soulmates. WE WERE SOME OTHER S—!! And I miss you so much. Super Black Love.”

Porter was buried in her hometown of Columbus, Georgia, on Nov. 24. Combs arranged for her casket to travel in a carriage pulled by horses during a public funeral at Cascade Hills Church that was officiated by acclaimed pastor T.D. Jakes.

In an audio recording of Combs’ eulogy, obtained by TMZ, Combs described his unique relationship with Porter and made a promise to their children.

“I just want to say to my kids, Justin, Christian, D’Lila, Jessie, Chance and the other man in the house, Quincy: Your mother instilled in me this, and I pledge in front of everybody right now that I will always be there for you,” Combs said as the audience applauded. “I will always take care of you.”

Eliciting laughter and claps, Combs added, “To the girls especially, we about to enter some different type of times. I want you to be able to talk to me about everything, and I mean everything, and I mean everything.”
